Following on the theme of incompetence in Ian’s earlier post, NTL have taken a fairly direct approach to stopping criticism of the company and its products. About a year ago, they purchased the nthellworld.com domain from its owner and took him on as an employee. At the time, a comment was made by NTL along the lines of “One day, we hope to earn the right to call ourselves ‘NTHelpWorld”. The future seemed bright.
A year down the line, while NTHellWorld continues to provide constructive help, NTL have announced that they will no longer allow discussions on any of their products or services on ntlhellworld.com. You have to wonder what they’re worried about.
Fortunately, a canny group of users from the .com site recently purchased this site where its business as usual.
Long live the revolution.
