Planting on the ceiling

Recommended by Treehugger- Planting Green Roofs and Living Walls. The book details weight bearing requirements and the various other requirements for a thriving lawn on a roof- which will improve insulation in winter and cooling in summer as well as cutting down on the amount of run off water for drainage systems to deal with.

Nazi Gold

How long until we stop being fascinated by the Second World War? I’m still mulling over alternate history story ideas for a propeller-punk or jet-punk story. Other people keep diving in Lake Toplitz in Austria to try and find out what a bunch of Nazi would be guerillas dumped there in 1945. After some inconclusive finds and a couple of deaths, an American treasure hunter has been given permission to do a high tech trawl of the lake bottom.

In 1983 a German biologist accidentally discovered more forged British pounds, numerous Nazi-era rockets and missiles that had crashed into the lake, and a previously unknown worm.
