The US Air Force has launched the XSS-11 (Experimental Spacecraft Systems 11) aboard a Minotaur rocket. The satellite will test autonomous piloting systems to navigate around six other satellites it is directed to, the first step to a free roaming space mechanic ‘bot (or, the cynics say, a satellite destroyer).
