  1. It does on the ferry to Ireland, but I’m not sure about other routes.

  2. You can’t buy duty free if you’re travelling within the EU, however you can still buy some products which are discounted by the airport / ferry company so that you pay a cheaper, almost duty-free price for them.

    Airports in Europe seem to be a little more lax and to still allow EU passengers to purchase items at duty-free prices.

    I’m not sure how that would affect passengers transiting thtough the UK though, especially with the current paranoia over passengers carrying liquids in their hand luggage.
