I could have taken a duvet day

Today is the worst day of the year for workers to pull sickies as the bad weather, post Christmas malaise and other worries catch up with them.

I’ve never been a big fan of February, it’s always been the month when felt most depressed for no obvious reason.  It might be Seasonal Affective Disorder kicking in late or it could just be that Feb is a miserable month.

Your mother warned you there'd be days like these

So no one told you life was gonna be this way
Your jobs a joke, you’re broke, your love life’s D.O.A.

It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear
And it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month,
or even your year

I’ll be there for you
When the rain starts to pour
I’ll be there for you
Like I’ve been there before
I’ll be there for you
‘Cuz you’re there for me too…

You’re still in bed at ten
And work began at eight
You’ve burned your breakfast
So far… things are goin’ great

I‘ll Be There For You – The Rembrandts

I was pondering the main theme of Post & Publish on the way to work, trying to make it as succinct as possible.  So far I’ve got it down to- The importance of good friends and family and how, sometimes, a group of friends can be a bit like a family.  If I’m not careful it’ll begin to feel like an obscure sitcom I remember from a few years back.  I don’t know if anyone else watched it, so I might be able to get away with it.
