JOE027

JOE027, originally uploaded by spinneyhead.

Released during the Pride parade. I think this is the guy I threw at the crowd of goth kids that was retrieved by someone near the end of the parade.

Any of you fucking pricks move, and I'll execute every motherfucking last one of you!

– Everybody be cool, this is a robbery!
– Any of you fucking pricks move, and I’ll execute every motherfucking last one of you!

Me and Fast got the gats; we’re out to rob a bank.
We got Steve outside carrying a full pack.
Now everything’s cool and everything’s smooth. (Hey that’s smooth)
I walked up to the teller, I gave her the letter
She gave me the loot with puckered up lips
And a wink that I found cute, and I said, “baby, baby, baby”
(Is this some Kharmic-Chi love thing happening here baby or what.)
By that time Fast tapped me with the 9 he said it was time to blow, ya know.
So out the door we go.
Back to the ride with Steve inside and alive; off we drive
I hurt my lower lumbar, you know we’ll
Never get far, riding around in a stolen
Police car, so we dropped it off and piled in a Caddy;
Steve was driving because I had to talk to my man about something.

– Look, I don’t know anything about any fucking set-up, you can torture me all you want.
– Torture you, that’s good, that’s a good idea, I like that one.

Running around robbing banks all wacked off of Scooby Snacks! (2x)

I don’t give a fuck about the hell’s
Gate, ain’t punkin’ the crowd and I’m still standing up straight.
So, we pull these jobs to make a little money;
No one gets hurt if they don’t act funny.
On the way to the yacht, we almost got caught,
Fast is shooting mailboxes, not knowing where the cop is.
They’re at the Dunkin Donuts, adjacent from
The Froman’s whose mailbox fast had just exploded.
They gave chase, but my man
Steve is an ace; we lost those brothers with haste.
We casted off and along we went off Bermuda to an island resort we rented.

– Sonny, I need you cool, are you cool?
– I am cool.

Fun Lovin’ Criminals – Scooby Snacks

The Glasgow Joes

Whilst attending the collection in Glasgow in Andy’s memory I gave Joes to the other people who were there. I’m afraid I didn’t record who got which soldier, but if you have a Joe that isn’t listed anywhere else on bot-crossing (numbered between 012 and 024 I think) please leave a comment here.

In memory of Andy McCruden. To find out more about Andy read the obituaries on Spinneyhead and UK-Rag. To make a donation please go to the justgiving page set up to remember him.

The New Monkees

Fasten your seat belts. You are about to enter the world of NEW MONKEES, a syndicated series where Rock n’ Roll, high comedy, warm characters and fantasy collide. It’s a show where a simple story can lead somewhere you never expected to go; a world of upbeat, irreverent humor, fast and funny!

No, I didn’t know they’d made a series called The New Monkees either. In 1987 the creators of the original Monkees got together, held 5000 auditions and manufactured a new band/TV show. It lasted 13 episodes.

You can buy the New Monkees cd on Amazon if you want. Or you could get The Very Best of the Monkees, which I’m sure will be superior.

Park life 07

Park life 07, originally uploaded by spinneyhead.

Lesson I keep forgetting- I always get distracted by the computer when I’m trying to write. I can do graphics but I find it hard to do text. So I’m in the park again, where I got a lot of the initial work on Memory done

DEBS

This is the campest film I’ve seen in a while. It manages to hide a coming out tale in a spoof on Charlie’s Angels, Buffy and the like. Whilst there are few laugh out loud moments I did watch it with a smile. And it has an excellent soundtrack to boot.

DEBS are recruited from the ranks of America’s students. Special hidden questions on the SATs pinpoint young women with the skills- lying, violence, intelligence- suitable for a career in spying. They are trained at a campus populated with hot women in short plaid skirts with holographs everywhere and some sort of teleport system.

The film doesn’t quite work at first. It takes the appearance of sexy supervillainess Lucy Diamond to get into its stride. Still pining after being heartbroken she keeps itching to sink Australia as revenge. Her planned meet with a Russian assassin (who would much rather be a dancer) is actually a blind date.

A DEB team stakes out the date, along with Homeland Security, CIA, FBI and Interpol. But top student Amy has other things on her mind- she’d rather go to an art college in Barcelona and her ex-boyfriend is getting obsessive. Everything goes wrong and Amy finds herself in a stand-off with Lucy, where they start flirting.

So begins Amy’s journey of self discovery. At first denying her attraction it takes her kidnapping by the smitten Lucy for her to accept her feelings. However friends and duty get in the way and Amy has to make a choice between her new lover and everything she’s been training for.

The film is based upon a 2003 short of the same name by the same writer/director. Where do I find a copy of that, I wonder?

Update What a silly question. I can find it on YouTube, of course.

And Part Two is here.

CB-2000

The world leader in male chastity.

Our business started in 1998 with a new approach in male chastity devices. We have proven ourselves worldwide to be the most popular chastity device on the market year after year. Our goals are to continue to come up with updated devices based on our customers needs.

The concept of manufacturing the chastity devices in a highly durable plastic material was well thought out. We wanted them to be light weight, hygienically clean and designed not only for the frequent flyer, but, also for any professional that wants to wear them and still be able to get through metal detectors; i.e. lawyers, pilots, security officers, and judges just to name a few. We recommend wearing the plastic locks under these circumstances for added security as not to set off a metal detector with the brass padlock. The possibility is that you can wear a chastity device 24/7 and not interfere with your normal business routine.

Edited highlights of collecting in Glasgow

Notice, originally uploaded by spinneyhead.

First off, I should state for the record that I didn’t do any collecting. I helped in the count room and wandered around taking photos. Every time I thought I should go out and shake a bucket for the first time in several years I’d look out the window and it would still be pissing down. However, thanks to the hardier souls who did venture out we collected £1,666, a number we felt Andy would have appreciated.

Highlights of the weekend-

On the way up the A74(M) was blocked because of a big accident. We ventured down an A road, only to be detoured off it. Then detoured off the detour. We ended up on single track that reminded me of the roads around home, then got narrower.

When we finally got to Glasgow our quest for a drink was foiled by bad communication and witnessing a hit and run. Well, it was more of a sideswipe and run. As the lights changed and a couple of cars decided to race each other a drunk women chose to run across the road. She got far enough to avoid the first then ran straight into the side of the other and was spun around and knocked off her feet. Dan called the ambulance and Malky had the wherewithal to note the car’s licence.

We finally found booze in a bar called Stavka, which had very jovial door staff and didn’t charge entry.

Glasgow’s a rather nice city. It would have been nicer if they hadn’t had a month’s rain in one day.

Tebay services has a farmers’ shop. The produce turned snacking on the way up into an awfully civilised picnic.
