Recorded Delivery sticky label art

I’ve noticed a few pieces of sticker art- tags and pictures magic markered onto labels for easy application- on lampposts around Manchester. What caught my interest about a particular bunch was the labels they were on, on close inspection they turned out to be Post Office recorded delivery stickers. There are quite a few of them around Manchester, but I thought they were localised. Until today, when I found some in Birmingham. I should start taking pictures of them. Anyone else seen anything similar?

Life imitating art imitating life

Yesterday Ian posted that he’d read a news story about students working as escorts to earn money and that this was a plotline in a book he wrote. The missing detail is that it was also the subject of an article in the student paper at our old university about 12 years ago (when we were both students there).

If Daz is reading this can he please install some content management software on Ian’s PC and set it to censor any web page or e-mail that mentions his ex. It’s for his own good (and yours too given that he probably hasn’t talked about much else since the e-mail).

BBC NEWS – Curry kicking art show cancelled

The Bedford Korma performance art piece has been cancelled because too many people would turn up to see it.

“But its created a huge amount of publicity so it achieved what it set out to do. The fact that it is not going ahead is not important, it has already existed in the public arena.”

So if I have an idea, talk about it a lot, get some money for it (his grant isn’t changing) and then cancel it, I can keep the money?
