I’ve had this Linear Tank kit sitting on the shelf for a while. It was time to build it.
It became one of those ‘simple’ builds that took ages, not least because I had to wait weeks for a dry day to prime the base.

My first time going to this show, which is held to raise funds for a Scout troop, so has a different feel to other model rail events. Many of the layouts were more about fun than realism, and the trade stands mixed in with sweet and craft stalls.

Just a small gathering of classic cars that I happened upon on Saturday. Little events like this are those lucky coincidences that I enjoy about taking the occasional random trip to parts of Greater Manchester I don’t normally visit.
When I was younger, I put firework rockets in toy cars and jumped them off a ramp. Little did I know that model companies had made kits especially for rocket power.
I found this on Ebay, and had to get it and find out more.

I got footage of every display table at the recent Universal Model Show, if not every model. This is the full length video of the whole lot. Shorter cuts by subject will follow as they’re edited.
The weather has been getting in the way of priming my two works in progress. So I dug out a mecha to build.
Even after editing it down, my full walk around this year’s Bolton IPMS show comes in at two hours. It’s worth it if you want to take in the scale of the show, but I’m also adding themed shorter cuts to the IPMS Bolton 2024 playlist if you’re interested in specific subjects.
My first experience with proper gachapon machines, and I didn’t have to go all the way to Japan for it! I did have to go to the Trafford Centre, which I usually avoid, but it was worth it.
Just a quick one for this stage of the build, the dash didn’t need as much detailing as the door panels. I added a stereo system, and the newly designed vent mounting coffee cup holder. The Bad Movie Bible is One of those treasures of YouTube producing content that would never find space in television schedules but can still get millions of views. This overview of the ninja sub genre of action cinema is a good example.
Another turnout of great layouts. I hope I’ve caught all of them in this video.

As I’ve been a temp for most of my working life, I’ve never felt that there was a union that I belonged in. As my YouTube channel grows, it’s possible one of the nascent creator unions (though some don’t call themselves that) may be a match for me.
Time for a new car project.
The Microace Honda City is a simple kit, so I want to add some extra details. The first parts to get this are the door panels, with 3D printed parts replacing the flat moulded in features.

The USV project stalled a while because of some of the materials I used, but here it is, done.
I hope Airfix keep doing these for every mould they still have. I won’t buy all the planes and tanks, but when subjects like this and the Bond Bug come out, I’ll jump on them.
