As far as I knew Glen A Larson was the creator and he loved it but not nearly so much as he loved Battlestar Galactica (old series)!
Always thought David Hasselhoff was a bit dubious but I do have to admit that this along with the A-Team and Dukes of Hazzard quite frequently got my parents cars polished with my dungarees.
