Their morale is high, but Gaddafi’s troops are far better equipped so the rebels are having to be creative.

Cities such as London, York and Bristol have seen an increase of up to 25 per cent of those using bikes, according to the latest research.
Official figures show that the number of commuter journeys taken by bike on the UK Cycle Network, which includes long distance and tourist routes, has reached 73 million trips a year.
