There aren’t many parts of the country left where red squirrels still live. My parents’ house is in one of those areas, so there are lots of signs like this.
The Grey Squirrel Annihilation League
The Red Squirrel Protection Partnership kills grey squirrels to protect red squirrels. They also sell on the corpses to a specialist butcher who supplies restaurants. This is where the idea of squirrel hunting in yesterday’s NaNoWriMo bit came from.
