Glad it's all over
Fighting continues in Iraq. It’s been two months since the oil was liberated, but there are still groups in the country organised enough to shoot down Apache helicopters.

He’s not worth it. You can get David Beckham for twenty quid if you bid cannily. You’ll probably get more interesting conversation out of the cheaper version as well.
A different take on the Luft 46 idea. This site contains information on Japanese experimental planes of WW2 and before. Many are rebadged German planes, but there are homegrown variations and entirely Japanese variants as well.
Also of interest is this page of captured planes, both Japanese planes used and evaluated by the Allies and vice versa- incluing a whole load of P40s pressed into active service in Rangoon.
This is the coolest thing I have seen in a while: The Vision Station. Imagine your own personal Imax. Far too cool for most. Drool. Drool. Drool.
Oh and I noticed this morning a company called PhatNoise which makes a 20gig MP3 car player which is amazing!! Drive along listen to endless tunes and when you want to change music, whip the cartridge out of the trunk (boot) and dock in its USB cradle. Fantastic. The site is v. cool.
