The Vatican wants Catholics to stop contributing to Amnesty International because of the group’s revised stance on abortion, which is basically pro-choice.

The Vatican wants Catholics to stop contributing to Amnesty International because of the group’s revised stance on abortion, which is basically pro-choice.
I’m pretty sure this’ll hurt the church more than Amnesty, which is at least getting it’s name promoted.
I could be wrong, but I suspect that Amnesty doesn’t have significant levels of support anyway in those countries where the opinions of the pope vaguely matter, whereas I’m pretty sure this’ll convince a few waivering catholics elsewhere that the church is obsolete.
