I just had a moment’s time travelling
My RSS reader is bringing me the news live as it happens from September 2006. Which is why I just tried to report the death of Raymond Baxter two and a half years too late.
Bloody Bloglines.

The RSS feeds, anyway. I was finding that all I’d do was scroll through reading updates and by the time I’d reached the bottom there’d be a new set to look at, so I’d start again. I have no self control when it comes to information.
I may log in to Bloglines and clean most of the feeds out, so I’ve got a shorter list, but I have found myself more productive since I closed it last week. Information addiction versus increased productivity. Can there be a trade off?
Update I shall now look at my RSS feeds once a week and have a mad frenzy of linkblogging as a result.

I’m experimenting with Twitterfeed to send out Twitter updates when I post here. It will check the RSS every three hours and Tweet anything new it finds.
This is the Yahoo Pipes version of the list. The code’s a lot simpler, but there are fewer customisation options.
If it works I may use it to replace the clutter on the sidebar with a dynamic list of what’s going on elsewhere.
If you read Spinneyhead through RSS (and I know there’s at least one of you who does) could you make sure you’re subscribed through the Feedburner version of the RSS feed. I’m just trying to de-clutter stuff a little, and if you’re all subscribed through the one place it’ll help me know how many of you there are.
