Linka

Anyone who was, like me, a bit of a modelling geek in the eighties has probably heard of Linka. Dad bought me a set for Christmas one year. Strangely enough, Linka creates buildings in exactly the right size for his model railway.

I’m reminded of it because of an idea I had yesterday. The back streets around here may not have changed since the thirties or earlier. The phonecam pictures from yesterday were all about getting some photo reference. What I’m thinking of doing is making up latex moulds in which interlinking sections of brick cobbling can be be made in plaster. I can then sell the moulds, either on Spinneyhead or in batches to model shops.

I really need elves to work on all these ideas I get. Failing that, I might get the Plasticine out tomorrow to make up blanks to create the moulds from.

Trade

The CafePress interface is having some issues, but I’ve uploaded the images and the Public/Trade thong is now available. The preview images are being temperamental so-

(Not actual size, or the right size relative to each other, just for demonstration purposes.)

The hardest part was probably deciding which colours worked best and which ones were absolute no-nos. I know it’s a bit odd to be considering the “tasteful” colour choice for underwear that alludes to anal sex, but that’s just the way things are.
